Bangladeshi school owners ask us one question more often than any other: 'How much does this actually cost over 3 years?' The honest answer is more complicated than any single vendor's price page, because the headline rate is only one of five line items that determine the real cost. This article breaks down all five — and shows you what to expect if you are running 500, 1,000 or 3,000 students.

Line item 1 — Per-student licence. EduGradUP is BDT 8 / student / month, all-modules included. Fedena's cloud tier converts to roughly BDT 12–18 / student / month depending on FX. Teachmint cloud is similar. MyClassboard is module-tiered, so the real per-student cost varies wildly.

Line item 2 — FX exposure. Any vendor that bills in USD or INR is one rupee swing away from a surprise invoice. EduGradUP bills in BDT for Bangladeshi tenants; the renewal price you sign for is the price you pay, regardless of FX.

Line item 3 — Module add-ons. Many vendors charge separately for parent app, transport, hostel, library, payroll. A 1,000-student school can easily double its base bill in module fees. EduGradUP includes all modules in the base rate.

Line item 4 — Migration and onboarding. EduGradUP includes free data migration from Fedena, Teachmint, MyClassboard, Excel or any CSV source. Most competitors charge BDT 50,000 – 2,00,000 for migration. Always ask for a written quote.

Line item 5 — Support and training. Some vendors price annual training and named support separately. EduGradUP includes a named onboarding manager for 90 days, then named CSM for the contract life, with a 4-hour first-response SLA.

3-year TCO example for a 1,000-student school in Dhaka: EduGradUP — BDT 2,88,000 (3 × 96,000). Generalist competitor — BDT 5,40,000 to BDT 8,40,000 once modules, FX and migration are included. The gap is large enough that the licence fee is the wrong thing to focus on; what matters is the all-in 3-year number.
